1. Change the output
The first thing to do when solving Samsung TV Optical Out no sound issue is to change the audio output.
The fact remains that the Samsung TVโs sound output is on the TV speakers by default.
This means that when you connect the TV to the external speakers without changing the output, you will not get sound.

3. Change audio and Sound Settings
The other tip to try is to change the audio and the sound settings.
You are required to select external audio devices to make it work.
Follow these steps to proceed.
- On your Samsung TVs Audio/Sound Settings, follow the drop-down list
- On the drop-down list, choose Audio Out and eventually click on Optical-There are several other options such as Internet TV speakers and HDMI ARC.
- Now you will see another dropdown list, choose Digital Out Sound (PCM).
4. Test the Optical Cables and check the TV ports
If none of these methods has helped, then you might be required to test the optical cable.
You can plug a new optical cable into the TV and see whether itโs working.
Alternatively, check the TV ports and be sure that the ports are not damaged.
